September 27, 2009, Sunday posted by System AdministratorNDCC has declared the Province of Laguna under a state of calamity due to typhoon Ondoy. In this regard, there will be no classes and work at De La Salle Canlubang tomorrow, Monday September 28, 2009. Campus reopens on Tuesday, September 29.

September 23, 2009, Wednesday posted by System AdministratorDe La Salle Canlubang celebrates their 7th Annual Foundation Week. Festivities commenced on July 20, 2009, with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist attended by the members of the school community. Twelve Brothers graced the campus with their presence and conducted workshops, symposia, and other activities related to their personal hobbies and sports. Several keynote speakers were invited, e.g., Dr. Felipe Medalla, Mr. Voltaire Mistades, Br. Rolando Dizon FSC and Br. Armin Luistro FSC. “Green Solutions” have been offered on a daily basis from survival camping, environmental awareness forums, and the planting of 7,777 trees. The Lasallian Youth Commission, Lasallian Institute For the Environment, De La Salle Alumni Association, De La Salle Philippines and the La Salle Provincialate also participated in the week’s events. Culmination was set on July 26, 2009, “Sunday Fun Day,” where everyone was invited for a full day of outdoor picnic, bazaars, outdoor science activities, badminton, mountain biking, BINGO socials, and the first Inter–La Salle Ultimate Frisbee League. Several activities also took place to showcase “The Other Side of the Brothers”: Br. Mario Dacanay FSC demonstrated Karate lessons; Br. Dennis Magbanua challenged the College and IS participants with the Ultimate Frisbee; Br. Enrico Mejias FSC led the Urban Dancing Choreography and Workshop; and Br. Jayjay Jimenez FSC handled Photography sessions.

September 11, 2009, Friday posted by System AdministratorWhen he was a freshman, Cedric Viguilla, a CompSci student of ours, competed with two teammates on our first shot at the Pautakan Quiz Contest, held annually in De La Salle Lipa. Our all freshman team placed 8th out of 25 colleges; I believe almost all of their competition being seniors.

Signing on behalf of the two universities are DLSC President, Br. Joaquin S. Martinez FSC, D. Min. and Prof. Xia Xiaocai, Director of XMUT International Cooperation and Exchange Office.
